Cloverdale Rodeo to get website revamp

The Cloverdale Rodeo is getting a new website.

The Cloverdale Rodeo and Exhibition Association (CREA) sent out an RFP last week for the redesign and redevelopment of the official Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair website.

Up until now, if anyone wanted information, they’d could go to cloverdalerodeo.com, but to buy tickets, rodeo- and fair-goers were sent to a third-party site.

“After 15 years, this redesign is due,” Kathy Sheppard, Cloverdale Rodeo president, told the Cloverdale Reporter. “It’s not just a cosmetic upgrade; it’s an investment in visitor experience and the long-term sustainability of the Cloverdale Rodeo.”

As one of the province’s biggest events, the Rodeo and Fair has experienced significant growth in recent years.

“The Cloverdale Rodeo is more than a weekend event,” Sheppard added. “It’s a cornerstone of Surrey’s western heritage and one of the Lower Mainland’s most enjoyed traditions. To honour the association’s legacy while growing our event, the Cloverdale Rodeo website needs to evolve into a modern, mobile-first destination that reflects the heart of our event itself.”

CREA wants the new website to be “modern, engaging, and mobile-first digital experience.” Sheppard noted the site needs to showcase the iconic rodeo, the fair’s innumerable live musical acts, and the plethora of attractions, but it also needs to be a place where people can find info easily and a place where they can buy tickets.

“Attendees and community partners expect an easy-to-navigate website that showcases the full range of experiences and opportunities at the Fairgrounds,” she explained. “Every visitor should be able to connect with the information that matters to them, whether that’s historical details, a seamless ticketing experience, booking a vendor booth, or exploring sponsorship opportunities. The new CREA website will be a comprehensive hub for all things Cloverdale Rodeo.”

The new website is expected to go live Jan. 31, 2027. The 79th Cloverdale Rodeo and 136th Country Fair are set for May 20-24, 2027.
