Salma Hayek is remembering her Fools Rush In co-star Matthew Perry and shared a thoughtful post in his honor.

Hayek took to Instagram to share a photo and a clip from the 1997 romantic comedy directed by Andy Tennant.

“Thinking of you today, Matthew,” Hayek captioned the post.

The duo starred in the 1997 romantic comedy about a couple who have a one-night stand only to find out that the encounter had consequences and Hayek’s Isabel is now pregnant.

Perry died on October 28, 2023, and at the time, Hayek took a couple of days to pay tribute to the late actor.

In an emotional post on Instagram, Hayek recalled the bond she shared with Perry while working on the comedic film.

“Two days ago, I woke up to the shocking news that Matthew Perry is no longer with us. It’s taken me a couple of days to process this profound sadness,” Hayek wrote. “There is a special bond that happens when you share dreams with someone, and together you work towards them.”

She continued, “I was very moved last year when Matthew shared on his Instagram stories how much he loved Fools Rush In, and how he thought that that film we did together was probably his best movie. Throughout the years, he and I found ourselves reminiscing about that meaningful time in our lives with a deep sense of nostalgia and gratitude.”
