An 18-year-old man is recovering in a hospital after police say he was stabbed early Sunday morning in Montreal’s Quartier des spectacles.
Authorities received several 911 calls around 3:50 a.m. reporting an injured person near the intersection of Ontario St. and St-Laurent Blvd., Montreal police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils said.
Police found the 18-year-old “conscious and injured in the upper body with a sharp object,” she said.
The young man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A canine team searched for evidence, Chèvrefils said, and police met with witnesses.
The investigation remains underway, she said, and no arrests have been made so far.
