Surrey council will vote Monday on a $460,950 contract for Conssistant Construction Ltd. that if approved will see the installation of 56 speed bumps at schools and parks throughout Surrey by the end of September.
The spending limit is set at $507,000. The contract, if approved, will permit construction from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday, to begin this month.
Meantime, in March council approved a contract for the installation of 73 speed bumps in school and park zones and that work has already been done.
Funding for this latest contract would come out of the City of Surrey’s 2026 transportation budget.
