Last Time in Action: Seth Rollins defeated Bron Breakker (Night of Champions, June 30); Roman Reigns defeated Jacob Fatu (Clash in Italy, May 31)
Seth Rollins interrupted Roman Reigns’ main event promo and wasted little time telling him that, while The OTC has it all, the one thing he cannot claim is that he is better at professional wrestling than The Visionary.
The Architect reminded Reigns that their entire rivalry is defined by him beating The Tribal Chief, and Sunday at SummerSlam, he does not stand a chance at beating Rollins.
“The whole industry needs me to beat you,” Reigns claimed.
Rollins reminded his former Shield mate of WrestleMania 31, when he cashed in on Reigns and sent his whole family home in tears. “I hope your whole family is there on Sunday because I would like nothing more than to watch them cry. Again.”
Rollins suckered Reigns into losing his cool, calling him his “b***h.” Reigns unloaded on the No. 1 contender, rocking him with a Superman Punch and adding a spear. He grabbed a chair and re-entered the ring with it, only for the recovered Reigns to deliver a stomp to him, driving his head into the weapon.
Rollins stood tall to close the show.
