A major North American coffee and tea manufacturer founded more than a century ago and headquartered in Mississauga says it has taken a bold step forward to improve business.
Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee announced on Tuesday the official opening of its new Complete Extract Solutions facility, which is housed inside the company’s 320,000-sq.-ft. location on Stanfield Road in the city’s east end.
Company officials said the facility marks the firm’s expansion into coffee extract solutions and is a “major step in its multi-year, multimillion-dollar investment plan for a strategic coffee extract platform.”
This week’s launch comes as cold coffee gains momentum in the North American foodservice industry, the Toronto-founded and Mississauga-headquartered company said in a news release.
The new facility “is designed to support commercial-volume production across multiple formats strengthening Mother Parkers’ ability to help foodservice, retail, private-label and industrial customers develop, test and scale cold coffee and broader coffee extract applications across Canada and the United States.”
In rolling out the newest part of the business, Mother Parkers officials pointed to market research that shows:
For the 12 months ending December 2025, cold coffee servings in Canadian quick-service restaurants accounted for almost one-quarter of total coffee servings, up two points from 2024.
Among 18-to-24-year-olds in Canadian quick-service restaurants, more than half of coffee servings during that same time period were cold.

The company added its Complete Extract Solutions capability will also help customers face specific challenges of complexity in product development, manufacturing, quality control, format selection, storage and distribution “as they look to participate in the growing cold coffee category.”
Mother Parkers President and CEO Danielle Barran described the new Complete Extract Solutions facility as “an important milestone in the continued evolution of Mother Parkers.
“We are investing in innovation because customers need practical, scalable ways to bring cold coffee and coffee extract solutions to market with consistency, quality and operational simplicity.”
Complete Extract Solutions combines coffee sourcing, roasting, extraction, aseptic processing, product development, packaging and commercial-scale manufacturing into one integrated platform, the company explained, adding the new facility “is designed to support cold brew, iced coffee, coffee concentrates and other coffee extract formulations, depending on customer requirements and channel application.”
Company officials noted the new facility also demonstrates Mother Parkers’ “continued investment in innovation, advanced beverage manufacturing and customer-focused growth.”
In announcing plans for the new Mother Parkers facility back in 2023, company officials also welcomed at the time news of a $5 million investment in the project from the provincial government.
Both the province and company also noted the new facility would create jobs in Mississauga.
Founded in Ontario in 1912, Mother Parkers has grown from a Canadian family business into “a leading North American coffee and tea company serving major retail and foodservice customers,” the company said.
Mother Parkers is a fourth-generation, family-owned manufacturer and supplier that has grown from a small wholesale grocery distributor in Toronto into a global tea and coffee company.
