The Donald Ross-designed Detroit Golf Club (par 70, 7,328 yards, bentgrass/POA annua greens) is hosting the Rocket Classic, which has been the home of this event since its inception in 2019. This will be the final Rocket Classic and at this tournament a year ago, Aldrich Potgieter (-22) won in a three-man playoff over Chris Kirk and Max Greyserman. The Rocket Classic is hosting 144 players and there will be a top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds this week.

Top Golf DFS Picks for the 2026 Rocket Classic

Ben Griffin ($8,900)

Following a rough patch of missing three straight cuts in the spring, Griffin has been great. The three-time PGA TOUR winner has only missed one cut in his last 13 starts and he has finished T17th or better six times during this span. Griffin has been striking the ball very well, gaining strokes on approach at six consecutive events, setting him up well for his return to Detroit Golf Club.

Three of the last four players to win at this course have finished the event top-six in SG APP. Griffin has never missed a cut at Detroit Golf Club and he finished T13th at this venue a year ago. In general, Griffin has a prowess for Ross designs.

In addition to his T13 at Detroit Golf Club last year, Griffin has finished inside the top-12 three times at Sedgefield CC, he finished T10th at East Lake for last year’s TOUR Championship and he finished T14th at Aronimink GC for this year’s PGA Championship.

Griffin ranks sixth in this field in strokes gained per round at Ross courses and he is a great spend at this sub $9,000 salary.

Jackson Suber ($7,500)

Suber missed the cut at the 3M Open last week and as a result, his price dropped from $8,900 to a very affordable $7,500. Suber missing the cut at TPC Twin Cities was a letdown, but this was a result of just one bad round. After opening with a 3-under 68, he posted a 4-over 75 in the second round, including three penalty strokes.

This was a rare sight for the 26-year-old, and Suber still gained 2.2 strokes on approach at TPC Twin Cities despite missing the cut. Suber ranks 15th in the statistic this season and he should rebound with a strong finish at Detroit Golf Club.

Suber had only missed one cut in his previous eight starts before the 3M Open with three top-six finishes during this run and in his debut at Detroit Golf Club last season, Suber finished T6th.

The Mississippi product shot a 65 in the second round and he ranks first in this field in strokes gained per round at Detroit Golf Club. Suber now returns to the track 122 spots higher in the golf ranking at No.105.

Chandler Phillips ($6,800)

Philips has made 2-of-3 cuts at Detroit Golf Club with his best performance being a T13 last season. Phillips travels back to the Motor City this week playing some of the best golf of his career.

In his last five starts, Phillips has finished T15th, MC, T15th, T15th and T3rd, and that one missed cut came at the challenging Shinnecock Hills for the U.S. Open, which was his debut at the major. Phillips has shot under par in 16-of-18 rounds during this five-start stretch and unsurprisingly, those two outliers came at Shinnecock.

Phillips has gained strokes in every major category at back-to-back events and his T3 at last week’s 3M Open is the second-highest finish of his PGA TOUR career. His game is firing on all cylinders right now and he shouldn’t slow down at Detroit Golf Club, possibly besting his T13 finish at this course last season.
