On July 30, Huawei teased another flagship product – the MatePad Pro 2026 tablet for the August 5 launch event. The company seems to have a wide range of products to introduce next week, and the new flagship large-screen device is one of them!

MatePad Pro Series is Huawei’s flagship tablet lineup. The company used to iterate on this lineup every year, introducing incredible models featuring top-end chips and key specs.

Earlier this year, the firm launched its first MatePad Pro Max, the world’s slimmest tablet, with a top-tier Kirin chip and a large battery. Now Huawei is ready to add a new member to this family – the MatePad Pro 2026 on August 5.

Huawei says that the new flagship tablet has Pro-level performance that meets a lightweight design profile. From aesthetics to the core, the device has undergone major upgrades. And these changes will come to light by next week.

According to the details, the new MatePad Pro 2026 tablet weighs around 439 grams and is only 4.70mm thick. The device is extremely thin and lightweight compared to the previous-generation models.

In the video teaser, the company has showcased two color variants – blue and metallic pink. The 2026 flagship tablet has the same circular camera bump on the back – just like the MatePad PRO MAX.

The teaser further reveals a stylus and a slim-trim Glide Keyboard that claims to deliver more productivity. Other details of this tablet are still under wraps, but the company may drop the highlights of this device in the coming days.

Huawei says:

“Brand-new Huawei flagship tablet, #HuaweiMatePad# Pro has arrived to break boundaries. With Pro-level performance, it brings your inspiration to life in vivid detail and sound! Stay tuned for the launch event on August 5 at 14:30, featuring the Maextro flagship MPV and Huawei’s latest all-scenario products.”
