A tragic incident unfolded in Mississauga on Wednesday morning as a 35-year-old man died after falling from a condominium on Kingsbridge Garden Circle, located near the intersection of Eglinton Avenue West and Hurontario Street. Peel Regional Police had been called to the scene around 10 a. m. following reports of a man in distress within the condo unit. Officers attempted to engage with him, but the situation escalated, resulting in the man falling from a high floor to the ground below.
He was promptly taken to the hospital, where he was declared dead. Given the presence of police officers during the incident, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), Ontario’s watchdog for police conduct, has initiated an investigation. This agency, which steps in when police actions may lead to death or serious injury, has assigned three investigators and a forensic specialist to the case. The SIU is actively seeking any photos, videos, or information from witnesses to assist in their investigation.
