Police said the formal identification followed an examination by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
Investigators do not believe Parker’s death was criminal in nature.
Police said no further information will be released.
Parker’s body was located Wednesday by specialized Calgary Fire Department search teams.
The discovery followed a tip Tuesday from a member of the public who found evidence consistent with clothing Parker was last known to be wearing.
Police said they believe Parker entered a culvert in a green space west of Deerfoot Trail and travelled through a pipe into a network of tunnels east of the roadway.
Parker’s family has asked for privacy as they grieve.
