TORONTO – The Toronto Tempo acquired forward Aneesah Morrow from the Connecticut Sun in exchange for a second-round pick at the 2028 WNBA draft and the rights to Maria Kliundikova on Friday.
Toronto waived guard Tima Pouye in a corresponding move after the deal, which will be completed pending a physical.
Morrow owned a league-leading 31.9 per cent defensive rebounding rate as a rookie last season.

The 23-year-old averaged 11.6 points, 8.9 rebounds and just over 23 minutes through 20 games with Connecticut in 2026. She’s also recorded nine double-doubles, tied for the eighth-most in the WNBA.
Selected seventh overall at the 2025 draft, Morrow spent two seasons at DePaul in the NCAA before transferring to LSU.
Toronto, which is in its inaugural WNBA campaign, currently sits 12th in the 15-team league with a record of 10-18.
