The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating the suspicious death of a 21-year-old Calgary woman near Cremona.
Police identified the woman as Shakira Bearspaw.

The unit was notified Wednesday, July 29, after a deceased woman was located near the village.
Autopsy completed Friday
An autopsy conducted Friday by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified Bearspaw and determined her death was suspicious.
Police have not released information about where she was located or the circumstances surrounding her death.
Person taken into custody released
Police said one person was taken into custody and later released.
No additional details were available Friday because the investigation remained in its early stages.
