The Ottawa Redblacks have fired their defensive co-ordinator after yet another double-digit loss.
Ottawa is now 0-7 on the season for its worst start ever since rejoining the CFL in 2014.
“Today we relieved Will Fields of his coaching duties,” Ryan Dinwiddie, the team’s head coach and general manager wrote in a statement sent out Saturday morning. “These decisions are always difficult.”
Fields has been with the team for the last two seasons.
The Redblacks are currently in last place in the standings.
In the statement, the team said Jeff Reinebold would take over the position of defensive coordinator and Nate Taylor would be the special teams co-ordinator.
