Prime Video will premiere Neagley, the Reacher spin-off starring Maria Sten as Frances Neagley, with all eight episodes on September 16, 2026, the same day Reacher Season 4 wraps its run after an August 12 premiere. Alan Ritchson reprises Jack Reacher in a supporting role for the new series, and at San Diego Comic-Con he confirmed a fifth Reacher season already in the works, based on Lee Child’s novel “Make Me.”
Prime Video just handed fans a calendar to plan around. Reacher’s fourth season kicks off August 12, and the streamer is dropping Neagley on September 16, the same day the season wraps up with its finale. That’s a five week runway between the two premieres, and it means Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher effectively hands the baton to Maria Sten’s Frances Neagley without much of a breather in between. The timing was revealed alongside fresh trailers at San Diego Comic-Con.
Prime Video used its San Diego Comic-Con panel on July 25, 2026 to lay out the busiest stretch the Reacher franchise has seen: a new season trailer, a spin-off teaser, a fifth season confirmation and even a novel announcement, all out of Ballroom 20 within a single afternoon.
Reacher returns in August with season 4
Alan Ritchson is back as Jack Reacher on August 12, 2026, when the fourth season premieres with its first three episodes. Weekly installments follow through the finale on September 16. The season adapts Gone Tomorrow, Lee Child’s 13th novel, and opens with Reacher witnessing a woman’s suicide on a Philadelphia subway.
New faces this year include Sydelle Noel, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan and Kathleen Robertson, with Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette stepping into a role originally cast with Jay Baruchel.
Neagley takes over the same day the finale drops
The spin-off Neagley arrives on September 16, 2026, five weeks after the season 4 premiere. Unlike the parent show’s weekly rollout, all eight episodes drop at once. Maria Sten leads as Frances Neagley, Reacher’s former protege from the Army’s 110th Special Investigations Unit, now working as a private investigator in Chicago.
The series, created by co-showrunners Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton, tells an original story rather than adapting one of Child’s books, a first for the franchise. “Neagley is not a wanderlust like her pal Reacher,” Santora said. The cast includes Greyston Holt, Adeline Rudolph, Jasper Jones, Matthew Del Negro and Damon Herriman, and Ritchson himself appears in a guest capacity, trading the lead spot for a supporting turn in Sten’s story.
Season 5 and a Neagley novel already on the calendar
Ritchson also confirmed at the Comic-Con panel that season 5, already ordered, will adapt Make Me, Child’s 20th novel. Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, framed the expansion plainly: “As Reacher continues to resonate with our global customers in a profound way, expanding on the storytelling and characters with a spinoff was an easy decision.”
Frances Neagley is jumping to the page as well. Sten revealed the first Neagley novel, Zero Margin, co-written by Lee Child and Yasmin Angoe, which hits shelves in March 2027.
