The 2026 Solheim Cup teams are starting to take shape – so who’s in and how how did they qualify? But first…

Where will the 2026 Solheim Cup be held?

Angela Stanford’s US team will travel to the Netherlands, where they will take on Anna Nordqvist’s Europeans at Bernardus Golf.

In the nine editions held in Europe to date, the home side have won five and lost three, while the most recent – at Finca Cortesin in Spain in 2023 – was the first Solheim Cup to finish in a tie.

How do you qualify for the Solheim Cup?

Each 12-player team has its own qualification process.

To make Team Europe you must be a Ladies European Tour member, a European national, and have played in at least eight ranking events in the qualifying period.

The top 6 players in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings who were not already eligible via the Solheim Cup standings

In order to represent Team USA you must be an LPGA member and a United States citizen. There are also three ways to make the team:

Who’s in the 2026 Solheim Cup teams?

The Team Europe qualifiers were confirmed at the conclusion of the AIG Women’s Open.

Esther Henseleit was defeated in a dramatic playoff at Royal Lytham, but the German can console herself with the fact it was enough to earn her a Solheim Cup debut. Also making her debut in the competition will be Lottie Woad, who has made herself at home in the world’s top 10 since turning pro a little more than a year ago. The other six have each played in at least one Solheim Cup.

Here are the eight players who are in so far, while captain Nordqvist will make her captain’s picks at 3pm BST on Monday – and she said she’s been “completely crushed” by some of the decisions she’s had to make.
