Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival, in collaboration with Sudbury graphic artist Tony Jurgilas, has released its 38th edition festival image.
This year’s tagline, “For thinkers and feelers,” illustrates Cinéfest Sudbury’s commitment to showcasing films that engage both the mind and the heart by challenging perspectives, sparking meaningful reflections and igniting emotional connections.
“Cinema possesses the power of storytelling that moves us in unlimited ways … to make us think about the world, about the human condition, and about the decisions we make throughout our lives,” said Jurgilas, a long-time collaborator with Cinéfest, who’s listed by the festival as a “creative strategist.”
“The theme for this year’s festival is a celebration of returning to the roots of art and culture… the cerebral and visceral experience.”
“This year, we’re inviting audiences to come out and experience cinema that resonates intellectually and emotionally,” said Patrick O’Hearn, executive director at Cinéfest Sudbury. “Whether a film makes you view the world with a new lens, moves you to your core, or does both at once, Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival is where audiences come to discover stories that stay with them long after the credits roll.”
The 38th edition of Cinéfest Sudbury International Film Festival will take place Sept. 19-27 at SilverCity Sudbury (Cineplex). Visit cinefest.com for more information.
