The Dream open the day as a slight betting favorite (-1.5) and with a shot to move into sole possession of the top spot in the WNBA Eastern Conference standings. They come off back-to-back wins over the Dallas Wings (82-81) and Seattle Storm (98-89) since the WNBA All-Star Break, most recently taking down the Storm on Friday night behind Reese’s 21 points and 13 rebounds for her 19th double-double of the season. Allisha Gray led the way in a big win over the Wings, scoring a game-high 25 points on a night where the Dream managed to hit just 1-of-16 attempts from 3-point range.
The Aces enter Monday’s matchup with a 3-3 record over their past six games after kicking off a five-game road trip Saturday night in Chicago with an 84-83 loss to the Sky. That loss was the team’s second straight on the road and came despite 36 points and 12 rebounds from two-time reigning WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson, who topped 30 points for the third time in four games. Las Vegas owns the WNBA’s second-best record at 20-9 and sits four games back of Western Conference leader Minnesota in the standings.
