Two people were taken to hospital in stable condition after a crash involving a car and an ambulance in Victoria on Aug. 2.
A spokesperson for BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) told Saanich News they received a call about the collision at the intersection of Bay and Blanshard streets at 5:50 p.m. and dispatched four ambulances to the scene.
Paramedics transported two people involved in the crash to hospital in stable condition.
BCHES said the ambulance was transporting a patient at the time of the collision and that the patient was also taken to hospital in serious condition, but was not further injured in the crash.
While unable to comment on the circumstances of the collision, the spokesperson reminded motorists to yield to emergency vehicles.
“We always urge people to yield to ambulances with lights and sirens on for everyone’s safety.”
