Still according to what Martineau reports, a young fan actually asked Laine who his favorite player was.
“Who is your favorite player, Patrik?” the young girl asked him.
– Lane Hutson! replied number 92.
We love it! Lane Hutson is Patrik Laine’s favorite player!
It might even be Hutson who inspired Laine to spend so much time on the ice this summer.
In any case, having a young role model like Lane Hutson seems to be working wonders for Laine, especially since the two have incredible chemistry, particularly on the power play.
Last season, 21-year-old defenseman Lane Hutson recorded 66 points in 82 regular season games, as well as 5 points in 5 NHL playoff games. Unfortunately for him, he was not selected for the U.S Olympic Camp.
As for Laine, the 27-year-old forward tallied 33 points in 52 regular season games, along with 1 point in two NHL playoff games.
We can’t wait to see what they will be able to do together on the Habs’ power play, especially under the guidance of Martin St-Louis.
