Peel police say a 34-year-old Brampton man is sought in connection with a stabbing that left a man seriously injured in Mississauga.
According to information released by Peel Regional Police, the incident occurred on Saturday, August 1, at approximately 1:40 a.m., when officers responded to a commercial unit near Dixie Road and Aimco Boulevard following reports of a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local trauma centre, where he remains in stable condition.
Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau have identified Gregory Darling, 34, of Brampton, as the suspect.
Police describe Darling as a Black male, approximately 5-foot-11, with a Caribbean accent. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with red stripes and black shoes.
Investigators warn that Darling should be considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public are urged not to approach him and to call 911 immediately if he is seen.
Investigators are also encouraging Darling to seek legal counsel and surrender to police.
