New wildfire burning in Metro Vancouver

The B.C. Wildfire Service is fighting an out-of-control wildfire at a park in Metro Vancouver. The Belcarra Park fire is estimated to be 0.8 hectares in size and was discovered Wednesday evening, according to the B.C. Wildfire Service. Smoke from that fire is visible in the city, with a yellow air quality warning currently in place for much of the province, as 115 known wildfires burn and 8,000 people remain under evacuation.
