SFU’s new medical school in Surrey opens doors

The new medical school at Simon Fraser University’s Surrey, B.C., campus welcomed its first cohort on Wednesday. The province is hoping the school’s accelerated program will help train more physicians and deal with a family doctor shortage. The CBC’s Sohrab Sandhu spoke with some students at the new medical school, who say they are excited to start their training and help make a positive impact on the province’s health-care system.
