Multiple break-ins at a Halton-area hobby shop have led to some $14,000 in stolen products and charges for a Brampton man, police say.
There have been four burglaries at Milton Hobbies on 621 Main Street East since May, the Halton Regional Police Service says in a release on Thursday.
The store sells items including parts for building remote control cars.
Police say some $14,000 in products were stolen during the break-ins, and that the incidents also caused property damage to the business.
Halton police say a suspect was identified and arrested on Wednesday.
Two search warrants were served at a residence and a vehicle in Brampton where police say multiple remote controlled vehicles and accessories were recovered.
Sahilpreet Dhaliwal, 25, of Brampton, has been charged with three counts of break-and-enter, and possession of property obtained by crime – over $5,000.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton, police say. The investigation is ongoing and police anticipate further arrests.
