Know where to go for the best burger or brunch? Or child care or accounting services?
There’s no better time than now for White Rock and South Surrey residents to vote for their favourite businesses in Peace Arch News’ 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards/2026 Best of the Peninsula.
With categories including retail and automotive to food and beverage, services, sports and recreation to arts and entertainment and health and wellness, locals can nominate, then vote for, their favourite places and businesses on the Semiahmoo Peninsula.
From Best Happy Hour to Best Fish and Chips, to Best Consignment/Thrift Store, Best Barber, Best Golf Course and more, readers can vote for their preference in a wide variety of categories that span the best of what the White Rock and South Surrey have to offer.
Participants who vote could win a $300 Visa gift card.
“So many Semiahmoo Peninsula residents have a favourite restaurant, or service, or business they prefer over all the others — now they have a chance to vote for those favourites,” said Peace Arch News editor and Surrey bureau chief Julie MacLellan.
“We encourage everyone in South Surrey and White Rock to take the time and let our local businesses know how much you love them.”
Individuals must be 18 or older to participate and can only vote once per category (per day); they must vote in a minimum of 35 categories to be eligible for the prize.
The nomination round is underway at peacearchnews.com, which lasts until Aug. 22.
The voting round follows from Sept. 7-28; winners will be announced on Oct. 29.
