The City of Winnipeg is warning drivers that sections of two major traffic routes will be closed over the weekend to make way for rail-crossing repairs.

Kenaston Boulevard will close in both directions between Lindenwood Drive East and Rothwell Road from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday, the city said in a news release.

As well, southbound Lagimodiere Boulevard will close from Dugald Road to Marion Street over the same period.

Drivers are asked to plan ahead to use alternate routes and to anticipate delays.

Updates can be found on the city’s lane closures map.
