Barbecue lovers from across the GTA will be heading to Mississauga this weekend as one of Ontario’s biggest rib festivals returns for a second stop in the city this summer.

Port Credit Ribfest X 2026 is taking over Memorial Park from Aug. 7 to 9, bringing award-winning rib teams, live entertainment, family activities and plenty of barbecue favourites to the waterfront community.

Produced by Ontario Festival Group and presented by Gelateria Italiana, the three-day festival features some of North America’s top pitmasters serving up smoked ribs, pulled pork, brisket, BBQ chicken, smoked sausage and massive beef “Dino” ribs.

This year’s rib teams include:

Billy Bones BBQ
Big Texas BBQ
Camp 31 BBQ
Blazin BBQ
Jack The Ribber BBQ

Along with barbecue, visitors can sample a variety of festival favourites, including bloomin’ onions, roasted corn, poutine, cold beverages and plenty of sweet treats.

Food vendors include Gelateria Italiana, Alabama Lemonade, Billy Bob’s Bloomin’ Onions, Pineapple Queen, Chocolate N Strawberries, Heavenly Pop’T, Ontario Corn Roasters, Pappy’s Olde Fashion Soda Pop, Mister Treats, BeaverTails, Tiny Tom Donuts and Slushy Bear.

Beyond the food, organizers have planned a full weekend of entertainment and activities, including live music, a marketplace, artisan vendors, carnival games, a midway, face painting and a Kids Zone.

The entertainment lineup includes tribute performances and local bands throughout the weekend.

Friday’s lineup features Ida-Maria, Dingo, Pink Leather Jackets and Fiddlestix.

Saturday includes the Battle of the Bands, a gelato eating contest, Ramblin’ Soul, welcoming ceremonies, Tom Barlow and Epic Eagles, an Eagles tribute.

Sunday’s entertainment includes Little Peter & The Elegants, K-POP Idols, Dramazoid, the Best Ribs Awards and Closing Ceremonies, followed by Exodus, a Bob Marley tribute.

The festival runs Friday from noon to 11 p.m., Saturday from noon to 11 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.

Admission is $5, with children 10 and under admitted free. The event is pet-friendly, and admission includes access to the free concerts.

Organizers say the event is also focused on reducing waste, with Ribfest X eliminating single-use plastics and encouraging visitors to bring reusable water bottles, which can be refilled at free water stations.

Port Credit Ribfest X is the second major ribfest to take place in Mississauga this year, continuing a summer tradition that draws barbecue fans from throughout the region.
