A Brampton man has been charged following an incident at the Vaughan amusement park.
A 19-year-old Brampton man has been charged after York Regional Police say a youth was allegedly sexually assaulted while boarding a ride at Canada’s Wonderland in Vaughan.
Police say the incident happened on May 25, 2026, when the youth was visiting the amusement park with friends.
According to investigators, the youth was boarding a ride when she was allegedly sexually assaulted by a ride operator who was conducting safety checks.
Investigators with the York Regional Police Special Victims Unit arrested and charged Jugaad Dhami, 19, of Brampton, on Wednesday, Aug. 5.
Dhami faces one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference.
Police have released an image of Dhami as part of their investigation and are asking anyone who may have information relevant to the case to come forward.
York Regional Police are also encouraging anyone who believes they may have been the victim of a sexual assault to report the incident.
Police note there is no statute of limitations for sexual offences, meaning charges can be laid well after the date of an alleged offence.

Dhami’s charges have not been tested in court.
