A man has died after a canoe capsized on a lake in the Muskoka area over the weekend.
The OPP say officers responded shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday to reports of a capsized canoe on Stewart Lake in Georgian Bay Township.
Investigators say two people were in the canoe when it overturned about 40 feet from shore.
One occupant was rescued by a passing boater, while the other went underwater and did not resurface.
Police say the missing paddler, a 31-year-old from Mississauga, was found dead on Sunday.
The investigation is continuing with assistance from the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.

The OPP is also reminding boaters and paddlers to wear a properly fitted lifejacket or personal flotation device, check weather conditions before heading onto the water and ensure all required safety equipment is onboard.
