NAPS has arrested one person and seized cash during a drug trafficking probe in a remote First Nation.

NORTH SPIRIT LAKE FIRST NATION — One person has been charged in a drug trafficking investigation in a remote First Nation. 

Nishnawbe Aski Police Service’s Intelligence Unit identified a male suspect during the investigation in North Spirit Lake First Nation. 

A 32-year-old Winnipeg man was arrested in the community without incident. 

Officers seized cash believed to have been obtained through drug trafficking activity. 

The accused was remanded into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
