Delta crash leaves one man in critical condition

Police are investigating a collision in Delta early Saturday evening that sent one man to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
At around 5 p.m. on Aug. 8, police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the 10400-block of Ladner Trunk Road.
According to a Delta Police Deprtment press release, an electric motorbike was travelling south bound on Ladner Trunk Road when it was struck by a vehicle.
The 26-year-old male driver of the electric motorbike was transported to an unspecified “local area” hospital in critical condition.
Police said Saturday that alcohol and speed had not been ruled out as contributing factors, and that the incident was still under investigation.
Ladner Trunk Road was closed both south- and northbound while police conducted their investigation.
