The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has been called in to investigate an “active-shooter” incident that resulted in a Calgary police officer being shot following a traffic stop in the southwest community of Spruce Cliff, near Edworthy Park on Monday. A passerby, Karen Hrncirik, who was on foot at the time of the unfolding situation spoke to Global News shortly after and described what she saw was “very scary to be right in the middle of it.”
