You can get the autograph of NHL stars and Hockey Hall of Famers at a meet-and-greet with your ticket to the Hockey Night in Brampton.

The annual charity fundraiser game is a little more than a week away, and will bring together two star-studded teams of players in support of the Peel Memorial Centre upgrade project. Some $56.7 million dollars has been raised by the game in past years, and this year’s roster includes current and former NHL players and some Hall of Famers.

But before the game gets going, fans can meet some of the stars and get their jersey signed at a free autograph event.

Hockey Hall of Famer Paul Coffey, former Anaheim Ducks Captain Ryan Getzlaf and former Detroit Red Wings bruiser Joe Kocur will be available for signings from 6 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., while Hall of Famer Doug Gilmore, former Maple Leaf Captain Wendell Clark and former Leaf Gary Roberts will be signing from 6:30 p.m. to 6:55 p.m.

The game takes place Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the CAA Centre, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $36. For more information and to buy tickets, visit www.hockeynightbrampton.ca.

All of the signings are free and will happen at Gate 3, the city says.

Hockey Night in Brampton was launched in 2019 by Mayor Patrick Brown and has grown to become Canada’s largest charity hockey game, in support of the William Osler Health System Foundation.

Last year’s game raised a record $6.7 million, with nearly $21 million donated over the last two years and a historic $50-million pledge toward the hospital project. Plans for the upgrade include a new emergency department, expanded outpatient services, and increased capacity to serve a growing population.
