A mountain goat made itself at home on a Cochrane-area acreage and refused to leave.

Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Services says officers recently responded to reports of an aggressive mountain goat that had been lingering on a property.

According to a social media post from Alberta Fish and Wildlife Enforcement, the goat refused to leave the homeowners’ deck for two days, prompting them to contact officers for help.

Officers assessed the situation before tranquilizing the animal and safely relocating it back into the mountains.

Fish and Wildlife Enforcement says encounters like this are rare, and the incident is likely something officers will only experience once in their careers.
