Region of Waterloo has posted a pair of road closures along major roadways in Kitchener to take place mid-day on Wednesday.
The region says Lancaster Street West at Jones Place will be partially closed on August 12. The closure is due to geotechnical construction work in the area, which will result in partial obstruction along Lancaster.
Officials say two-way traffic will still be maintained through the area, but people should expect delays along that stretch. Pedestrian traffic will still be maintained around the construction zone.
The closure will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Also announced Tuesday is that Ottawa Street North will close along the same timeline on August 12. Due to geotechnical work, the roadway will be partially closed between Dreger Avenue and Franklin Street North through midday.
Like the Lancaster work, two-way traffic will be maintained but with expected delays, and pedestrian traffic will still be maintained past the work zone.
The closure will also take place between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
