The Montreal Canadiens received some good news regarding an important piece of the team’s future.

That means he also decided to get into town well ahead of schedule, long before training camp begins, and he’ll be fully ready to go.

You love to see it. Another new face arriving in town!

Could it be captain Nick Suzuki, joining the familiar faces who have already been skating in Brossard for a while?

Back to Fowler, the 21-year-old arrives fresh off a training session with Mike Ayers, the goaltending coach from his former team at Boston College.

On the other side, Jakub Dobes spent a good part of the summer in Montreal.

Watch the goaltending session here, filmed on site by Patrick Guillet:

Fowler hasn’t exactly been taking it easy either. Far from it!

“Montreal Canadiens top prospect Jacob Fowler is on the ice working on his lateral movement under the watchful eye of Mike Ayers, Boston College’s goaltending coach.

Ayers coached Fowler, Joseph Woll, Spencer Knight and Thatcher Demko at the college level.”

Canadiens’ goaltending battle could reshape the depth chart at training camp

There’s plenty to be excited about!

Dobes, for his part, isn’t changing anything about his approach.

He says his preparation remains the same, with one goal in mind: come back stronger.

The picture is getting interesting.

Three serious goaltenders all driven by the same objective: helping the Montreal Canadiens go as far as possible this season.

A strong camp could shake up the entire pecking order.

Training camp isn’t far away!
