Watch The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration at a local screening near you

In honour of the 10 year anniversary of The Tragically Hip’s final show, CBC will rebroadcast the recording of the concert on Aug. 22.

The Tragically Hip: A National Celebration will air Canada-wide at 7 p.m. ET/8 p.m. AT/8:30 NT on CBC-TV and CBC Gem. The rebroadcast will begin with a short film by Gord Downie’s brother, Mike, called A Beautiful Thing, which includes behind-the-scenes tour footage and notable Canadians sharing what The Hip means to them.

A special three-day-long celebration kicks of in The Hip’s hometown of Kingston, Ont. on Aug. 20.

Aside from Kingston, official screenings will take place across Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Yukon and internationally.

Some events are ticketed and others are free-entry.
