Actress Khushi Kapoor remembered her late mother Sridevi on her birth anniversary by sharing a treasured family photograph. Sridevi was born on August 13, 1963. Khushi Kapoor posted the childhood picture on social media. The image features the actress as a young girl alongside Sridevi and filmmaker Boney Kapoor. The photograph shows Khushi Kapoor standing between her parents. She is holding the hands of both Sridevi and Boney Kapoor as they pose together. For the unversed, Sridevi passed away in Dubai in February 2018. She was 54 at the time of her death. The actress was married to Boney Kapoor and had two daughters, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor.

Sridevi started her career as a child artist. She later became one of the most prominent female stars in Indian cinema. Her career covered multiple languages and industries. She worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi movies. Sridevi returned to Hindi cinema after a lengthy break with ‘English Vinglish’ in 2012. Her final full-fledged movie was ‘Mom’, released in 2017.

The actress also received the Padma Shri in 2013. Her contribution to Indian cinema has continued to be celebrated after her death. Sridevi’s daughters have also pursued careers in the film industry. Janhvi Kapoor made her acting debut with Dhadak in 2018. The movie released a few months after Sridevi’s death. Khushi Kapoor entered the Hindi film industry with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies in 2023. She later appeared in Loveyapa and Nadaaniyan, both released in 2025.
