Halton Regional Police say a 34-year-old Mississauga man has been charged with voyeurism after he allegedly used a cellphone to record an adult woman changing inside a fitting room at a Winners store in Oakville.
According to a news release by police, officers responded to the store at 2460 Winston Churchill Blvd. on July 22, 2026. Police say the woman confronted the man, who fled before officers arrived.
Investigators identified the suspect.
On July 27, Jeffrey Abou-Mechrek, 34, of Mississauga, was arrested in Oakville and charged with one count of voyeurism. He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in Milton.
Police are concerned there may be additional victims and have released a photo of the accused.
