Health Canada is warning consumers about potentially serious health risks after unauthorized and counterfeit cosmetic injectable products were seized from a Hamilton, Ont., beauty and wellness business. The products included Botox Cosmetic, dermal fillers and other injectable treatments, some of which were confirmed to be counterfeit. The agency says unauthorized injectables can pose risks such as infection, scarring and allergic reactions and is urging consumers to verify products are approved for sale in Canada.
