Thank you to retired Canadian Army chaplain Timothy Nelligan for having the courage to speak out against the instructions to CAF military personnel to avoid using faith-specific words, rituals or symbols, including prayer and to not make reference to God. This is supposedly grounded in freedom of conscience and religion.
I hope chaplains currently serving in the CAF will also have the courage to speak out against this atrocious new regulation. How can you possibly be a chaplain without being able to pray or mention God? Both are an integral part of a chaplain’s role and responsibility.
Our soldiers fought and died for freedom, and now this very basic freedom of religion is being taken away. Shame on the CAF and the Liberal government. This new regulation needs to be cancelled. Everyone in the federal government should be demanding this be done ASAP.
If this is not cancelled, all veterans should turn their backs on the speakers during the Nov. 11 ceremonies. Sometimes actions speak louder than words.

Under no circumstances should Jagmeet Singh ever be appointed to lead the Crown corporation Destination Canada. Regardless of the fact that he has zero tourism experience, he is a proven financial tax grifter who remained as an NDP MP only long enough to secure his pension.
There is more: Mismanaging his party reduced its standing to a new low and, through his Supply and Confidence Agreement, allowed Justin Trudeau and his incompetent Liberals to destroy Canada beyond recognition. How sad.
