Chilean soccer phenomenon Alexis Sánchez was surrounded by elated fans as he signed Montreal’s Golden Book at city hall Friday.
CF Montréal announced earlier this week it signed the 37-year-old forward as a designated player.
The MLS club’s acquisition was warmly welcomed by not only soccer enthusiasts, but also Chilean-born Montreal Mayor Soraya Martinez Ferrada. On Friday, she was beaming as she stood next to Sánchez for the book signing.
