Mounties east of Calgary are asking for the public’s help identifying a pickup truck seen near a home where incendiary devices were thrown earlier this month.

Brooks RCMP say a suspect hurled the devices into the backyard of a home on South Shore Drive around 1:35 a.m. on Aug. 2.

The devices sparked a small fire on the deck that firefighters quickly contained. Police say the suspect fled immediately.

Several windows on a truck parked at the home were smashed, and a basement window was also damaged. No injuries were reported.

Investigators reviewed CCTV from the neighbourhood and identified two vehicles of interest seen around the time of the incident.

Police are now trying to identify one of the vehicle and have released images from the security footage. The suspect vehicle is described as a pickup truck with no tailgate.

Anyone who has information is asked to contact Brooks RCMP at 403‑794‑4400. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1‑800‑222‑8477 (TIPS).
