Alberta RCMP says a 52-year-old man has been charged in connection with a death in South Tallcree First Nation.
Around 8 a.m. on Aug. 16, Mounties responded to a report of a dead man on the First Nation, around 590 km north of Edmonton.
The deceased was identified as 39-year-old Roger Seeseequon, of South Tallcree First Nation. Officers reportedly noted that Seeseequon had a stab wound.
Seeseequon’s body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton, where it was determined that his death was a homicide.
On Aug. 17, police were able to identify a man who was believed to be responsible and took 52-year-old Ricky Seeseequon into custody. He has since been charged with second degree murder.
