A driver from south of the border is facing a hefty fine and a potential arrest warrant after he was caught speeding through a Calgary construction zone this week.
Calgary police say officers stopped a vehicle travelling 122 km/h in an 80 km/h construction zone shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The driver, who is from Illinois, was issued a $596 ticket and a potential court date in October.

Police say a warrant will be issued for his arrest if he does not resolve the ticket by the court date and returns to Alberta.
Police are reminding drivers that construction zone speed limits are enforced at all times, whether or not workers are present.
