The idea, floated in Toronto this time, is enough to get fans dreaming.
Host Sid Seixeiro suggested on air that the Canadiens should try to acquire the Pittsburgh Penguins captain.
He even put forward a very specific offer:
Sidney Crosby to Montreal in exchange for Michael Hage and a 2027 first-round pick.
Confident in his proposal, Seixeiro said:
“Kent Hughes…You gotta make one call, man. Go get Crosby. You got the prospects. You got the picks. You got a team ready to make a move. What Montreal Canadiens fan says no to that? Nobody.”

The reaction from fans was different.
Many believe the offer is far too steep: giving up a prospect as promising as Hage for a veteran simply doesn’t make sense.
