Re: Charging the Exit? How are Charge fans taking the PWHL team’s move to Kanata? Bruce Deachman column, Aug. 18

The PWHL threatened to move the Ottawa Charge out of the city because of the new, smaller rink coming to Lansdowne Park.
According to Bruce Deachman, many fans are now saying they don’t want to travel to the Canadian Tire Centre, the team’s new home arena all the way out in Kanata.
I wonder how long it will be before the PWHL once again threatens to relocate the Charge.

STILL MARRIED
I find it strange when normally careful journalists refer to Sophie Grégoire Trudeau as Justin Trudeau’s ex-wife. I believe it would be more accurate to refer to her as his estranged wife. It is possible that at some point in the future they will receive a civil divorce, but they are still legally married.
A number of years ago, Mr. Trudeau told a journalist that he was raised “very, very religious, very Catholic,” so this type of distinction may be important to him. I am not criticizing either his behaviour or that of his wife, but merely suggesting that journalists should be more precise.

EX-PM’S DATING LIFE NOT NEWS
Who cares about a former prime minister’s dating life? He is not the PM and his dating life is not national news.
His father dated Hollywood women, too, but no one cared.
Get back to reporting important stories that actually concern most Canadians.
This is supposed to be a newspaper, not a gossip paper.
