It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sheila Ina Mavis Jackson, who passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at the age of 83. Sheila left this world surrounded by the people she loved most.
Sheila will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Randy Jackson, and her children, Christopher Luzzi (Kelly), Corrine Mezzomo (David), Brad Luzzi (Paula). She will also be lovingly remembered by her baby sister, Janice Morley (Ron), and her best friend, Judy Ambeault.
Sheila was a proud grandmother to Jordan (Haley), Desiree (Daniel), Travis (Erin), Nikki-Rae (Mike), Alexis (Lucas), Lauren, Brayden, Meaghan (Brandon), and Hillary (Benjamin). She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Levi, Raymond, Jaxon, Theo, Emelia, Everson, Jaxson, Romi, Mya, and Vinny.
Sheila is now reunited in heaven with her parents, William and Ina Ingram, her sisters Lena Shellhorn, Donelda Brown, Ivy Browne, Beth Maclean, her brother Gary Ingram, and her childhood best friend, Gloria Chaimbrone.
Sheila was a hardworking, determined woman who returned to school while raising three young children. She went on to build a career dedicated to helping others, spending much of her working life as an educational assistant. She had a genuine passion for children and took great pride in making a difference in the lives of the many young people she worked with.
Those who knew Sheila will remember a woman who loved her people fiercely, laughed loudly, and never had much trouble letting you know exactly what she thought. She was wonderfully nosey, unapologetically herself, and, as anyone who knew her would agree, she had a whole lot of sass. But underneath that sass was a heart bigger than anyone could measure. Her love was steadfast, generous, and unconditional, she loved her family with everything she had.
Sheila was also a devoted dog mom who found endless joy in her beloved fur babies. She never believed anything should stay plain for long. Whether it was a lampshade, a piece of clothing, or a gift for someone she loved, Sheila always took great pleasure in adding her own unique flair. She had an appreciation for a good knick-knack, a little brandy, a lively and sometimes controversial conversation about the latest news or politics.
Sheila was a wealth of information, wisdom, and advice. Anyone could sit down with her over a cup of peppermint tea and know they would leave with a story, a piece of wisdom, or perhaps an opinion they hadn’t asked for but would never forget.
At the very centre of Sheila’s world was her husband, Randy. He was her constant, her partner, and the person who always made sure she was well cared for and had everything she needed, especially during her final year. Randy supported every one of Sheila’s ideas, no matter how big, ambitious, or out there they might have been. When Sheila set her heart on something, Randy was right there beside her (usually driving) ready to go wherever they needed to go and search as far as necessary to find the perfect piece to bring her vision to life.
He loved Sheila exactly as she was and supported her every adventure, every idea, and every unconventional pursuit. Together, they built a life filled with love, happiness and stories that will be passed down for years to come.
Sheila leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a family who will forever cherish her.
She will be forever loved and never forgotten.
We would like to thank all the staff at the F.J Davey Home for the wonderful care they provided throughout her time there.
As per Shelia’s wishes, a private family service will be held, where her immediate family will gather to honour her life.
