A few days ago, Huawei unveiled the Pura X View, the first-ever wide-fold bar-type phone that caught global attention for its unique design.
On August 20, Yu Chengdong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Consumer Business Group, hosted a new HarmonyOS smart car launch event. Before closing the conference, Yu Chengdong introduced Huawei Pura X View.
This is the first bar-type phone with a wide aspect ratio. From front to back, Pura X View resembles the Pura X Max, Huawei’s first wide-foldable device. However, the distinction is quite clear in the thin body and the display.
The screen has a 16:9:5 aspect ratio, measuring only 6.39 inches, but a 2232 x 1320 pixel resolution makes the on-screen pictures visually appealing.

The visual appearance is further improved by the 1.05mm extremely narrow bezels on all four sides. Meanwhile, the Pura X View offers 6500 nits of peak brightness to help users view the content in broad daylight.
Besides its well-crafted display, the Pura X View weighs only 201 grams, and it’s as thin as 6.68mm. Within this structure, the phone packs a 7000mAh battery, offering large battery backup. The rear side has a unique pattern and a horizontal camera island that hosts the camera system.
It will use the Kirin 9030S chipset for performance, coupled with 12GB RAM for tasks.
Still, its wide aspect ratio is the main feature that caught online users’ attention, not only in China but overseas. Soon after its launch, X, formerly Twitter, was flooded with its release posts, which quickly expanded through the tech media outlets.
As the first wide-screen aspect ratio bar phone, many praised how well the Huawei Pura X View looks and is built for what it offers.
Huawei first markets its phones in China, but these organic global praises for the Huawei Pura X View suggest that Huawei’s innovations are being recognized in the global market.
