GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Ahead of their 2026 home opener, Furman men’s soccer honored retired head coaching legend Doug Allison and unveiled their 2025 NCAA College Cup banner.
“Now to see that banner here is just a special moment for me,” Allison said. “And it represents everyone in our program. All our alumni, the ones that come back, all our coaching staff and assistants we’ve had over the years. Our alumni come back in droves, and I can’t wait for them to see that banner here at Seagraves field.”
The Paladins put together a historic run a season ago, climbing to a 16-2-5 record and earning the SoCon regular season and tournament titles on their way to their first college cup appearance in program history.
The 2025 campaign marked the 31st and final season at the helm for Allison, who announced his retirement before last season began. He was joined by his wife Jody and sons Callum and Keegan at Monday’s pregame ceremony.
The Paladins hosted UNC Asheville to kick off their 2026 home slate.
