Sunday Night’s Main Event could see Blake Monroe finally make her televised WWE main roster in-ring debut.

False Finish reports that, while nothing is official yet, WWE has discussed adding Monroe vs. Giulia to the card for the September 6 event in Atlanta. That match was originally advertised for last Friday’s SmackDown, but it ended up being an angle where Monroe attacked Giulia and the bell never rang.

WWE began hyping the arrival of Monroe after WrestleMania 42 in April. She’s attacked members of the SmackDown roster and worked a dark match but has yet to actually wrestle on television since being called up.

Monroe did an interview on last Friday’s SmackDown where she was outraged that her debut was going to be against Giulia instead of challenging Chelsea Green — who is currently injured — for the interim WWE Women’s Championship. Monroe is a former AEW Women’s World Champion (as Mariah May) and held the Women’s North American title once in NXT.

State Farm Arena is hosting Sunday Night’s Main Event, which will stream live on Peacock in the United States.

WWE Sunday Night’s Main Event (September 6) —

Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton

Oba Femi vs. Bron Breakker

Baron Corbin vs. Lil Yachty (if Yachty survives five minutes, Trick Williams gets a United States title shot against Corbin that same night)
